What happens when
Pride and power become pop culture?

All
Struggle with this this.
Like little Pauline replicas,
Slaves to the perpetual pattern of
Do-what-we-hate,
Re-lying on our
(Selfish) selves.
We are mighty.
We shall triumph
Alone.
“Alone are we,”
Cry
The needy,
The sick,
The hungry,
The abused,
The oppressed.
And when Immanuel’s voice
Cries out
From the heavens
(And in the ears of our guilty hearts),
“I shall protect you,
You are not
Alone.”
Shouldn’t we listen?
